What You'll Do

  • Safety is E2 Optics' number one Core Value. All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and procedures
  • Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culture
  • Assist with processing end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment
  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits accurately
  • Verify and maintain employee attendance, hours worked, and leave balances
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholdings
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and tax filings, including W-2, 1099, and other relevant documents
  • Resolve any payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries related to payroll
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure they are up to date and compliant with company policies and legal requirements
  • Work with HR and accounting teams to ensure smooth integration of payroll data with other systems
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws, tax rates, and other regulations
  • Support audits and assist with payroll-related reporting as required
  • Assist in year-end processing, including reconciliation and reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a payroll or administrative support role is preferred
  • Experience with multi-state payroll or payroll processing in a large organization
  • Experience with benefits administration or HRIS systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with employees and departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfortable with data entry tasks
  • Basic understanding of payroll processes, tax laws, and deductions
  • Knowledge of benefits administration or human resources processes a plus

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight, confined spaces. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
