What You'll Do

  • Safety is E2 Optics' number one Core Value. All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and procedures
  • Assisting the project team with installation activities as needed.
  • Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team of schedulers/project controls staff (up to ~8 direct reports).
  • Set clear expectations for deliverables, quality, timeliness, and communication; hold the team accountable.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, provide coaching and feedback, and support performance management (goal setting, development plans, and corrective action when required).
  • Assign and balance workloads across projects/programs; prioritize deliverables and remove roadblocks.
  • Establish and maintain standard work (templates, update cadence, schedule quality checks, reporting packs, and “definition of done”).
  • Mentor team members on project controls fundamentals, processes, and tools; build capability and consistency across the organization.
  • Lead development and maintenance of logic-driven, resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6 to support execution planning, staffing forecasts, and milestone control.
  • Drive schedule update cadence and progress validation; ensure actuals, production assumptions, and remaining durations are credible and defensible
  • Identify and communicate schedule issues early (critical path changes, near-critical threats, 
    constraints); facilitate corrective action plans with stakeholders.
  • Maintain look-ahead schedules and support weekly/monthly planning activities with project teams.
  • Apply practical constructability and field perspective to identify schedule constraints and propose mitigations.
  • Own earned value performance reporting (CPI/SPI), trend analysis, and root-cause narratives.
  • Establish and maintain labor forecasting, productivity tracking, and performance measurement systems aligned with project needs.
  • Contribute to the development of dashboards, scorecards, and executive-ready reporting for internal leaders and clients.
  • Ensure retainage of historical performance data and benchmarks to improve forecasting accuracy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cost management cross functional team members to ensure alignment between cost and schedule performance.
  • Lead schedule risk identification activities; maintain and actively manage the risk register throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate schedule/cost impacts of changes; document impacts, mitigations, and recovery plans as needed.
  • Partner with PMs, Superintendents, and client counterparts to align on schedule strategy, constraints, and commitments.
  • Ensure all delays and potentiation delays are documented in the schedule and support the development of
  • TIAs and Extensions of Time.
  • Ensure consistency between scheduling, cost control, and earned value controls across projects/programs.
  • Supervise development and issuance of weekly/monthly status reports and narratives that clearly communicate status, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Enforce schedule quality standards and audit readiness (logic, constraints, calendars, coding, baselines, 
    and data hygiene).
  • Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 Optics. 

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • AACE PSP and/or PMI PMP preferred
  • Minimum 5 years progressive project controls/scheduling experience in construction, including development and maintenance of resource/cost-loaded schedules.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 expertise required.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience and CPI/SPI evaluation experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing staff (coaching, mentoring, workload management, accountability).
  • Experience supporting fast-paced construction environments; hyperscale/data center experience preferred.
  • Oracle platform knowledge and Agile construction management knowledge are a plus.
  • Extensive scheduling and controls knowledge (planning, critical path, forecasting, progress measurement).
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills; able to influence and drive alignment with PMs, Operations leaders, and clients.
  • Strong analytical capability; advanced Excel required; comfort with BI/reporting tools preferred.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through; able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Self-starter with strong judgment and problem-solving ability.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight, confined spaces.
